The AstraLite & NanoLite: A Thru-Hikers' Dream
For years, fans, customers, and dealers alike have been asking us about quilts, and now the answer is here: the AstraLite & NanoLite. These quilts are a thru-hiker's dream, constructed with our 12 denier nylon ExtremeLite shell fabric, a 10D tafetta liner, and our world-famous 850+ fill down, creating products with stellar weight savings.
Both top quilts are designed with a set of adjustable and removable pad straps that are compatible with any backpacking sleeping pad. When every gram counts, the straps can also be removed. Other features include a sewn-through footbox and an insulated draft yoke with an elastic closure for maximum heat retention.
The NanoLite, being hoodless, requires adequate head insulation, such as a beanie and neck gaiter, for use in above-freezing temperatures. This quilt is designed to be used with an insulated sleeping pad, as uninsulated or poorly insulated pads will result in much colder sleeping conditions than intended. It's essential to check the R-value of your pad to ensure it's adequate for three-season use.
The NanoLite comes in two lengths: the 5'8" version is designed to fit over the shoulders of people at or below 6'0" tall, while the 6'4" version is designed for individuals between 6'0" and 6'6".
The AstraLite & NanoLite are crafted with ultralight 12 denier ExtremeLite fabric, 850+ fill power goose down, and feature an insulated draft yoke to help retain internal temperature on colder nights. Lightweight elastic pad straps allow for easy attachment to a sleeping pad. These products have been made in the USA since 1970.
